SSPCA - Sponsored Dog Walk   

Sponsored Dog Walk at Deeside Activity Park on Sunday May 3rd.

A Great Day Out.

Fifty dogs, with their human companions, had a great day out on May 3rd. Even the weather collaborated, giving sun with occasional cloud and a cooling breeze – ideal for walking.

Two routes were available for the walk. Those with shorter or less robust legs, opted for a stroll over the smooth, level surface to the Loch. The more ambitious followed the forest paths on a circular trail past the spectacular Falls of Dess.

The canines returned to the start with the satisfied air of a job well done, and were welcomed back with cool water ( one had a paddle in the water trough), biscuit treats, the opportunity to rest on soft grass and a certificate recognising their efforts in a good cause.

The humans were offered a selection of refreshments, and the chance to relax in comfort with friends.

Over £3,600 was raised from a thoroughly enjoyable day for all concerned, and the organisers would like to thank everyone involved in helping to reach such a fantastic total.
